My Bio

Jana Van Hooser received a Master of Arts in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Her practice integrates the fields of human development, visual arts, and the creative process with models of counseling and psychotherapy. Ms. Van Hooser uses the art therapy process with the client to assist in resolving conflicts and problems, developing interpersonal skills, managing behavior, reducing stress, increasing self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieving insight. She is experienced in individual and group therapy with practice concentrations in trauma, substance use, depression, and anxiety. Ms. Van Hooser works with clients of all ages. She is trained in EMDR.
